Now I have not watched an episode of the simpsons in years mainly for the fact that A:stories are usually rehased every few years and B: peoples backstories get changed to the point where you don't know what to follow as the back story will probably get changed again.
But the moment I heard about this episode being in the works (It was in the works long before the Simpsons lego sets were announced) I have been anticipating this and even put time aside to sit down and watch it a few times.
Overall visually this episode is fantastic and alot of great gags (especially the one regarding it's not selling out it's Co Branding) along with some of the Springfield lego changes eg Brick e mart, Lard Fig Donuts, Radioactive fig.
Overall this is a fun episode and great to see a story not rehashed from a previous season and besides being a fantastic episode of The Simpsons, it can also be seen as a phenomenally effective toy commercial to help with the promotion of the upcoming Simpsons Lego House release along with The Simpsons Mini Fig releases .
I give it 5 out of 5 lego bricks.
