For the past 11 years there has been one song that has been a weekly staple for me it is the 30 second version version of The Big Bang (I do have the full version available in my playlist as well which I do go to from time to time to get a feel good moment from)
This last fortnight I decided to explore the 30 years of rich musical history the band has on offer a great analogy of this exploration would be getting an assorted box of chocolates (or confectionary) and not knowing any of the flavors at all and then picking the first one and loving it and then gorging it to the point of feeling sick of the flavor but still going back to it a couple of times a day and that's what these guys songs are like really great no matter how many times you listen
Songs that I have so far thrashed are
One Week
Falling For The First Time
The Old Apartment
If I had$1,000,000
One Week
It will surely take a while to go through their rich musical history but from the sounds of it it will be a great musical experience/journey
(catchy lyrics to pinpoint from One week Chickity China the Chinese chicken
You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin'
and falling for the first time
Anyone perfect must be lying
Anything easy has it's cost
Anyone plain can be lovely
Anyone loved can be lost)
Songs you just can't get out of your head
Eleven years ago a tv show began and opening for it was this catchy theme song 11 years later I am now finally touching upon their lush back catalogue
If you watch Big Bang Theory then you will have had a dose of these guys catchy lyrics you just can't get out of your head
A brief history of the band
It formed as a duo of Ed Robertson and Steven Page in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada
